We perform acoustic analysis on new and existing piping systems to accomplish the following:
  • Verify that acoustic frequencies generated by compressors or pumps do not resonate with the piping natural frequencies
  • Design acoustic filters (inline and external surge bottles)
  • Determine piping spans between supports to avoid resonance with compressor or pump frequencies
  • Calculate shaking forces on the piping systems
  • Verify the piping system meets API 618 Criteria

ACOUSTIC ANALYSIS DETAILS

Accuracy and a high level of detail are needed for the analysis to accurately predict pulsation frequencies and shaking forces. PEC excels in this area.
